When Q Street was founded in 2005, the world looked very different—especially for LGBT people. The Q Street Steering Committee would like to use this 10th anniversary year to celebrate how far we’ve come—and to highlight the work we have left to do. We are putting together a series of events aimed to do just that. At each of our regular lunches throughout the year, we will invite an LGBT person who was behind the scenes for a few of the biggest changes we’ve experienced since the founding of Q Street to join us for an informal conversation about how it happened and what they’ve seen.

The first will be Supreme Court lawyer Paul Smith, who won the Lawrence v. Texas case that laid the groundwork for every legal victory we’ve gained for LGBT people over the past decade.

Q Street's monthly luncheon occurs on the third Friday of every month. The lunches are a welcoming venue to get involved in Q Street's activities and meet your network of LGBT lobbyists and public policy advocates.

Will you come?
